The Role

Reporting to the Chief Business Officer, the Director, Strategic Partnerships & Business Development  is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing on partnership opportunities for Drip’s US Growth Business. Our clients, US SMBs, work with many stakeholders in their ecosystems who are eager to partner with Drip. The role requires an experienced business development or strategic sales professional who can build relationships in different verticals (banks, trade associations, logistics, etc), understand their capabilities, identify opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships, structure and negotiate opportunities to help shape Drip’s US business growth.

What you’ll do

  • Define and execute on a comprehensive and proactive partnership strategy to build, manage and progress partnership opportunity pipeline
  • Develop a solid understanding of Drip’s products in order to identify the right partnership opportunities
  • Build and foster strong relationships with external partners to create win-win relationships with Drip and partners
  • Manage the “full stack” - Own the full deal process from ideation to post-closure, and work collaboratively across Sales, Customer Success, Product, Marketing, Legal, and Risk teams to achieve your ambitious goals
  • Expand Drip’s reach in the US SMB ecosystem by positioning our Company as an integral partner for clients seeking to ease the friction of accessing working capital solutions. This involves representing Drip in our clients’ ecosystem (conferences, events, etc)

About you:

  • 5+ years of experience in business development or strategic partnerships, ideally in the SMB B2B space, with a successful track record of  sourced, negotiated, and launching new partnerships 
  • An extremely proactive, self-starter mentality with excellent organizational skills
  • Strong quantitative skills, strategic thinking and sound business judgment, along with the ability to think creatively
  • Ability to thrive in an unstructured, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify and provide comprehensive solutions for varying partner needs
  • Humble, ownership and growth mindset 
  • BA/BS  degree
  • Experience in a high-growth technology company
