Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Commodity Risk Manager – Metals to lead our risk management strategy for base metals including aluminum, copper, and zinc. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of global metal markets and expertise in deploying derivatives such as LME futures, forwards, and options to mitigate price exposure. This role is critical to aligning our sourcing strategies with market conditions and ensuring pricing stability for our customers and partners.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Develop and execute hedging strategies for base metals using tools such as LME futures, forwards, and options

Monitor global metal markets and macroeconomic indicators to proactively manage pricing risk

Coordinate with procurement, sales, and treasury teams to ensure hedging aligns with sourcing strategies, customer pricing models, and cash flow requirements

Oversee daily P&L reporting, monitor margin requirements, and maintain trade records in compliance with internal risk governance

Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, banks, and trading counter parties to gain market insights, execute trades, and assess liquidity

Contribute to the design of internal systems and reporting tools to support real-time risk management and trade decision-making

Provide internal stakeholders with market intelligence, forecasts, and scenario analysis for budgeting and strategic planning
What Makes You a Great Fit:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field. MBA or CFA is a plus

12+ years of experience in commodity risk management, preferably with a focus on base metals

Proficient in using LME and OTC derivatives for hedging purposes

Strong knowledge of financial risk modeling and commodity trading systems

Experience working cross-functionally with procurement, sales, and finance teams

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven, and entrepreneurial environment

Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
